- In 1923, the first garage with 10 cars was created under the Ministry of Military Affairs.
- On July 15, 1925, the Mongolian Transport and Transit Administration was created.
- In 1929, based on an agreement between the governments of the Mongolian People's Republic and the USSR, the cargo transport organization “Mongol Trans” was created.
- In 1936, the main assets of the “Mongol Trans” organization were transferred free of charge to our country and a national independent organization, the Main Directorate of Transport of Mongolia, was created.
- In 1940, the Ministry of Roads and Transport was created and the "General Committee of Transport of Mongolia" became the Ministry of Road Transport.
- In 1942, the Bureau of Control and Registration of Freight Transport was created.
- In 1966, the “State Department for Registration of Road Transport” and the “Directorate of the Central Dispatch Office of Road Transport” were created.
- In 1975, the Automobile Central Dispatch Office was divided into two organizations: Freight Transport Management and the Passenger Transport Service Center.
- In December 1990, the Automobile Transport Union and the Service Center for Intercity Carriers and Passengers were created.
- In 1991, the Transport Exchange and the Hotel Service Company were created.
- In 1993, the Automotive Department was created.
- In 1996, the state executive agency “Automobile Department” was created.
- In 2004, the Transport Services Center was created.
- In 2008, the government's executive agency, the Automobile Department, was created.
- In 2009, the “Office of Diagnostic Control and Regulation of Vehicles” was created.
